November 2025
by Quedgeley WI - November 25th, 2025.Filed under: Uncategorized.
November means it’s our AGM when we heard the Financial Report followed by the Secretary’s report that reminded us of the meetings and visits we had enjoyed throughout the year. Talks had ranged from major UK crime gangs, Fraud Awareness and Volunteering at an Elephant Sanctuary. The highlight of the year was the Birthday Supper which celebrated one hundred years of Quedgeley WI when several of our members dressed in costumes of the 1920s.
On to the President’s address, the introduction of the committee and the popular decision that Pat Watts was willing to take on the role of President for another year. There then followed drinks, nibbles and a quiz. The last meeting of the year is a Social Evening with an American Supper, a Christmas themed raffle and the competition is for a home made Christmas decoration
In 2026 we will hear talks that include the Gloucester Mens Shed, another visit from Paul Murphy with the second part of his talk on Charlie Chaplin and The Life and Times of an Adult Tutor. If anyone would like to come along to any of our meetings, either as a visitor or new member they will be made very welcome.
