Quedgeley Village Hall

Quedgeley Women’s Institute is one of the oldest organisations in Quedgeley; we celebrated our 90th birthday in February 2015, nationally the Women’s Institute celebrated their centenary in 2015 so Quedgeley was formed early on in its’ history! We held a 90th Birthday Supper on Wednesday 11th February 2015, click on the Events tab at the top of this page to see a report and photos of the evening.  We have around 50 members, but we would be delighted to have even more! Our regular monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at Quedgeley Village Hall, Bristol Road, Quedgeley, Gloucester. We also hold other events throughout the year including  walks, coffee mornings, theatre/shopping trips and a luncheon club.  As a group we enter the annual  the community quiz which are organised by Quedgeley Community Trust, a local charity, which gave us a grant to start up our website a few years ago.

Quedgeley W.I. is a member of the Gloucestershire Federation of W.I., and the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) is the largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK, with 210,000 members in England, Wales and the Islands. The NFWI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Why not consider joining us for one of our meetings as a visitor to find out more about us and make new friends, take up new interests, learn new crafts and develop new skills. We aim to have fun and enjoyment at our meetings and offer friendship to our members.
