December 2025
by Quedgeley WI - December 30th, 2025.Filed under: Uncategorized.
Our last meeting in December was another enjoyable American Supper with the usual delicious food and drink, a Christmas themed raffle and Barter Stall. During the usual business we heard that one of our members will be a Meeter and Greeter while another is to be our Climate Ambassador. We received a letter of thanks from the Salvation Army who had been grateful for the donation of clothing by our members for their Christmas Appeal and we heard a festive poem and the singing of the Twelve Days of Christmas with the holding up of beautifully decorated signs.
2026 will be another interesting year when we will hear talks ranging from the Gloucester Mens Shed in January, February is our 101st Birthday Supper and in March there is a talk on the Air Ambulance Heart Defibrillator. April will be another visit from Paul Murphy with the second part of his talk on Charlie Chaplin.
May is a Social Evening and Resolutions and in June we will hear a talk by the Bishop of Gloucester, July will be The Life and Times of an Adult Tutor and August is always our Summer Outing. September is a fun evening of Bingo and in October the talk will be on a Blue Plaque Tour of Gloucestershire, November is the AGM and the last meeting of the year will be a Festive Social Evening and American Supper.
If anyone would like to come along to any of our meetings, either as a visitor or new member they will be made very welcome. We meet at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday of every month in Quedgeley Village Hall
